Before you tour

What the listing won’t tell you.

Southwest Atlanta covers a lot of ground, and prices change from one subdivision to the next. A few things tend to explain what you will see above.

Established neighborhoods

Much of Southwest Atlanta is mid century brick ranches and split levels on larger lots than you find intown. Some have been updated and some are original, which explains a lot of the price spread.

Plan for the age of the house

Many homes here were built in the 1950s through the 1970s. I would look closely at the roof, the HVAC, the sewer line and the foundation in the inspection.

Commute and access

I-20, Camp Creek Parkway and the airport are close, and downtown is often 15 to 25 minutes by car. I would test the drive at the hour you would make it.

Most of 30311 and 30331 is in the City of Atlanta, though some addresses near the edges are in South Fulton. I would confirm the jurisdiction for the exact home.
