Selling a Home
How Much Is My East Point Home Worth in 2026?
East Point area homes sold for a median of about $247K over the past year, with most between $185K and $315K. What moves the price and how I would price yours.
Quick answer
Over the past year, homes in the 30344 ZIP code, which covers East Point, sold for a median of about $247,000, and the middle half of sales landed between roughly $185,000 and $315,000, based on FMLS data. Homes went under contract in a median of 34 days and sold for about 98.6% of list price. Condition is the biggest swing factor here, because renovated homes and homes needing work sell at very different prices.

East Point home values by the numbers
- 265 homes sold in the 30344 ZIP code in the past 12 months (FMLS, closed sales through early October 2026). The ZIP covers East Point along with some neighboring parts of Atlanta.
- Median sale price: about $247,000. Middle half: about $185,000 to $315,000.
- Houses: 243 sales, median about $255,000. Townhomes and condos: 22 sales, median about $196,000.
- Median time on market: 34 days. Median sale price to list price: 98.6%.
- Median price per square foot: about $165.
The 49 sales in the last three months had a median of about $219,000, a little below the full year number. That does not mean values dropped by that much. A smaller window can tilt toward more homes that needed work, which is one reason I look at a full year here and then narrow to the sales that match a specific home.
What moves the price of an East Point home
I grew up in East Point, and the first thing I tell owners is that condition sets the price more than almost anything else. Many East Point homes are brick ranches and cottages built in the middle of the last century. A fully renovated one competes with renovations across Southwest Atlanta. One with original systems competes with investor purchases, and investors price in every repair.
Location inside East Point matters next. Homes near downtown East Point and the East Point MARTA station, homes near Jefferson Park and the established streets around it, and homes with easy access to Interstate 85, Camp Creek Parkway and Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport draw the most interest. Busier streets and homes near industrial areas tend to trade lower.
Size and layout round it out. A three bedroom, two bath home with an updated kitchen and a usable yard tends to draw the widest pool of buyers in this price range.
Why online estimates miss in East Point
Online estimates are hit or miss in East Point because the range between a home that needs a full renovation and one that has been redone is wide, and the tools cannot see the difference. They also pick up investor sales that closed well below retail. I would treat an online number as a rough starting point and nothing more.
How I would price an East Point home right now
I start with recent sales that match your home in size, condition and location within East Point, and I separate retail sales from investor purchases so they do not skew the picture. Then I look at what is active and pending right now. With homes taking about a month to go under contract, buyers have time to compare, so the price needs to make sense next to everything else they are seeing.
If your home needs work, I would rather price it honestly for its condition than ask buyers to overlook it. My post on what to fix before listing in Atlanta covers which repairs tend to pay off.
